Every milestone matters: a family returning home, a meaningful conversation, a mailbox raised, and a neighbor helping another brings Altadena one step closer to recovery.
Here's what Rebuild Altadena has been working on and what's coming next:
Our Very FIRST Homecoming Celebration

After passing final inspection, family, friends, neighbors, and community leaders gathered for a joyful Homecoming Celebration as California State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez ceremonially presented the keys to the excited family.
This celebration was a reminder that rebuilding is happening, families are coming home, and Altadena's future is taking shape one home at a time.

Making Our Way Home, One Mailbox at a Time
Verified homeowners who lost their homes and are planning to rebuild are invited to receive a free mailbox and personalize it with paint, colors, and creativity alongside neighbors and volunteers. Painting supplies, light snacks, and beverages will be provided. A limited number of mailboxes will also be available for those who prefer not to paint one.
Rebuild Altadena is partnering with HPP Cares and Eaton Fire Collaborative (EFC) to host a series of Mailbox Giveaway & Painting Parties for families rebuilding after the Eaton Fire.

A mailbox is one of the first visible signs that a family is coming home. Together, we're celebrating every step of the rebuilding journey, and creating moments of hope along the way.
Please note: Participants must provide proof of a fire-affected property address (government-issued ID, utility bill, or similar documentation).
We’re Here for You
The rebuild process can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone.
Our Design Project Manager, Priscilla Garita, will be working out of the Eaton Fire Collaborative (EFC) every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In addition, Rebuild Altadena is now hosting Open Office Hours every Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at our office.

Whether you have questions about rebuilding, need help finding resources, or simply want to connect with our team, stop by. No appointment is necessary at either location- we're here to help however we can.
Thank you for reading our newsletter and for being part of the Rebuild Altadena community. Every day brings us one step closer to rebuilding Altadena together.
Neighbors First. Always.
